#News | 160+ Young Girls and Women Sue Kenyan Government
“Here I come
Walking down through history to eternity
From paradise to the city of gods
Victorious, glorious, serious and pious
Elegant, full of grace and truth
The centrepiece and the masterpiece
of literature
Glowing, growing and flowing
Here, there and everywhere
Cheering millions every day
The book of books that I am.”

It’s a great poem, isn’t it? I think so too.
This is Luckyline’s poem. She is 15. She lives in Kenya where statistics reveal that a girl is raped every 30 minutes, some as young as 3 years old. Luckyline, now 39 weeks pregnant, was raped by her neighbour.
But that’s not the real story right now. This is it. Ready?
Luckyline, along with another 160 young girls and women, is suing the Kenyan government for failing to protect them from being raped. Suing the government. Young girls are suing the government. I mean, how incredible is that?
This blows my mind. Get caught up here, and if you’re able, help them over here.
