**EVENT** “A Room of Our Own” | Philadelphia Women’s Writing Workshop
“All I could do was to offer you an opinion upon one minor point — a woman must have money and a room of her own if she is to write …”
– Virginia Woolf“I want to be clear about this. If you wrote from experience, you’d get maybe one book, maybe three poems. Writers write from empathy.”
– Nikki Giovanni“In the mo(u)rning I shall remind myself
where
I have been.We all have tricks up our sleeves.
For whom shall you unroll yours?”
– kholi.
I am thankful for every conference, classroom, open mic, and performance venue that welcomes women.
Still … it’s been far too long since I’ve shared a healing, holy, sacred space with women looking to learn more about themselves- women looking to listen to and cultivate genuine self-expression.
