About KholiOli.Com

Want style, beauty, and a lot of living?  You’ve come to the right place.

KholiOli.Com is a fashion, beauty and lifestyle blog created from the deepest, darkest, and most obscene obsessions of full-time PhD graduate student, poet, PR, creative writer, career consumer, goal digger, dream catcher, and entrepreneur, Carrie Kholi.

Literature, like fashion, seeks to appeal to culture through imitation and creative interpretation.  We don’t need to meet Anna Karenina to lose ourselves in her world of opulence and intrigue any more than we need put on a pair of Christian Louboutin pumps to imagine what it’s like to feel sleek, stylish, and pampered.

Willfully mixing style, trends, and literary analysis of the latest Nicki Minaj lyrics, Kholi-Oli occupies a niche for the intellectual consumer, the trendsetting marketing maven, and the entrepreneurially-minded young woman with a passion for both prose and primping.  Twenty years ago, we bought our jeans because Cindy Crawford wore them on billboards.  Now we base our denim purchases on the wisdom of the part-time blogger and PTA mom who lives five hundred miles away (but also likes to highlight her perky derriere).

From Rosie the Riveter to the rise of the self-supporting-career-woman-as-luxury-consumer, Kholi-Oli applies a modern, analytical edge to the culture right outside your window.  Fearlessly embracing life as a young, educated woman—as well as all the glorious career chaos, introspection, and drooling-over-cashmere-sweaters that comes with it, Kholi-Oli is the go-to resource for the reader who’s anything but a two-dimensional character.
